Sandy Wollman
Sandy is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of the Westchester Angels, serves on the Angel Capital Association’s BOD and is the ACA’s Director of National Syndication. Starting his career as a Product Development Engineer for 3M (St Paul, MN) in their Hook and Loop (Velcro) Division he was awarded a US Patent for a “Hook and Loop Fastener with Superior Tensile Strength”.
For the next 25 years, Sandy was a Principal at Carna Mills, a large textile converter in New York City’s, notoriously challenging, Garment Center. He grew Carna’s Indian Fabric Division to one of the largest suppliers worldwide with Ralph Lauren, Guess and Capital Mercury Shirt Co. being large customers. He traveled to India frequently, “before suitcases had wheels”, to ensure quality standards were maintained.
Along the way, Sandy became an accomplished distance athlete having completed 3 Ironman Triathlons, The Swim Around Manhattan and become the 470th Individual to Swim the English Channel.
