Lana Fern has over a decade of experience in social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and community building. Lana is the Director of Global Community Strategy at NEXUS, an international community of next gen philanthropists, impact investors and social innovators united to bring about the most promising global solutions of our generation. In addition to managing the larger network, Lana created and manages the NEXUS Impact Society, a small global collective of 200 next gens uniquely positioned to change the world together. Previously, Lana founded White Light Strategies, a philanthropic advising practice that worked with families and philanthropists to develop, implement, and evaluate their giving strategies. Prior to that, Lana was Executive Director of Giving Circles Fund, an organization that inspires a lifelong habit of philanthropy by empowering communities to give together. Lana is involved with her family’s foundation and serves on the Board of Directors of Slingshot. She also takes her work on the road, speaking at conferences, events, and universities about Millennial giving.
