

Michela Roman
Michela Roman is a figurative artist based in New York City. Her studio resides in the World Trade Centre, gifted through Silverstein Properties. She received her BFA in Studio Arts and History from Nipissing University before pursuing an MFA degree in Sculpture and Anatomy at the New York Academy of Art. Roman is a two time recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshield Foundation Grant, 2021-22, 2022-23 and a 2023-24 recipient of the Carra Stone Merit Residency, funded by ABC Stone.
Her knowledge of stone carving and figurative sculpture has led her to work with many galleries and freelance projects across NYC, along with teaching Figurative Sculpture and Structural Anatomy at NYAA.
She is a standing fellow at the Newington Corpsy Foundation located in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York. Roman participated in Future Art Fair,2024, hosted by Loft Projects and has a personalized wine sponsorship with Ozymandias Wines.
Currently, Roman has a permanent sculpture display opening at ‘The Centre for War, Atrocity and Genocide’ in Ontario, Canada. Her work has been included in various private collections in New York, Canada and Italy, including; Silverstein Properties, The Weissman Family Collection and The Lipman Family Collection.
