With over a decade of experience, Léonie has led historic reforms in industries previously disconnected from sustainability, creating frameworks that have generated a $25 billion economic impact. Notable achievements include being the first employee of Formula 1 Austin, a founding member of Whole Foods e-store, and co-authoring policies with the European Commission to enhance capital for women-led ventures and sustainable investments. Her work has been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, and other leading publications. Blending scientific expertise with a deep humanitarian spirit and artistic sensitivity, Léonie’s creativity as a designer, innovator, and scientist is fueled by the marvels of nature and its evolution, as seen through her travels across 65+ countries and extensive field research. Léonie founded Kinetik to invest in early-stage, multi-disciplinary deep-tech solutions addressing extinction threats on islands. Recently, the Kinetik Foundation was established to protect critical biodiverse areas and cultures crucial for planetary health while advancing science and innovation. Rooted in human ecology principles, Kinetik is launching biocultural research and innovation labs to authentically honor and preserve the unique ecological and cultural heritage of their communities, recognizing their significant economic value.
