Ido Savir

CEO & Co-Founder, SuperMeat

Ido has over 25 years of experience in leading technological developments in the high-tech and biotech sectors, making significant contributions to their growth in Israel and internationally. His efforts have been pivotal in addressing the transition towards a more tech-driven and sustainable future. At SuperMeat, Ido played a crucial role in evolving the company from an initial concept to a leading force in cultivated meat production, establishing the world’s first B2B cultivated meat platform to enhance the food industry’s sustainability.
Ido’s career began in the IDF, where he focused on modernizing legacy systems during the Y2K crisis. He subsequently orchestrated the development of the IDF’s data warehouse, creating an integrated data system that consolidated information from all military branches, leading to improved decision-making, cost reduction, and increased efficiency. Following this, Ido directed the creation of one of the first cross-platform infrastructures for mobile devices, enabling large organizations to provide mobile services and applications. This infrastructure was adopted by various governments, including Israel and several African countries, promoting digital access, reducing costs, and improving transparency.

Furthermore, Ido led the world’s first full mobile digitization project for Generali, one of the world’s largest insurance companies, introducing the first mobile device-based insurance policy issuance. This initiative, along with others in sectors such as banking and insurance across different countries, has been acknowledged for its innovative impact and efficiency improvements by renowned organizations, including McKinsey.
