The Morstan General Agency was amongst the larger employers in Long Island, NY, and had a national sales base approaching $400,000,000 annually. Al Eskanazy retired in 2016 after leading the sale of Morstan General Agency to Brown & Brown (hull & company), a publicly traded firm on the New York Stock Exchange.

Upon Al’s retirement from the insurance industry, Al became a Peace Officer of the Division of Criminal Justice Services of New York State. Al currently serves as a reserve detective assigned to the Nassau County SPCA Criminal Abuse section.

In January 2018, Al co-founded and is chairman of the Community-Police Relations Foundation (formerly known as the Greater Miami-Miami Beach Police Foundation) and the New York’s Elite Police Foundation; these 501(c)(3) organizations function in support of building relationships between community and law enforcement in times of fraternity and distress.
CPR Foundation’s action-based grassroots approach revitalizes the relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve by bringing them together through a variety of outreach initiatives including charitable donations, educational and scholarship programs, and food drives. At the hands of law enforcement, the Foundation has fed thousands of families, created educational opportunities for underserved youth, donated essential items including school supplies and bicycles and delivered relief and support for officers and their families in distress. These actions improve interactions between the community and police, promote mutual trust and understanding and foster stronger, safer neighborhoods by highlighting the humanity in all of us.
In collaboration with Boulder Crest Foundation, CPR Foundation launched a PTG (post-traumatic growth) mental wellness initiative to facilitate mental health programs for police officers and first responders. Services have been provided to over 6,000 first responders over the last three and a half years throughout South Florida.
Al has been recognized as an agent of change capable of transforming reality through empathy, compassion, openness, collaboration, and charity.
