Ms. Christina Hollenback

CEO & Founder of Justice Capital, Founding Chair of NEXUS Global, Working Group toward Equal Justice

A trailblazing "Millennial Investor," Christina leads the next generation of ESG and Impact Investing where social, political, and economic capital are all leveraged to ensure a more just, sustainable world.  As a global leader and strategist, Christina has led investors representing more than $35BN to stop investment in prisons and extractive oil companies, and also build infrastructure with Black, Brown, Indigenous and systems impacted communities.

After 13 years in the public sector, Christina transitioned into investing when she saw the potential of frontline community-led solutions to out-perform the status quo of industries harming the planet and her people.  From cannabis and housing to hospitality and manufacturing, she advises and develops dial-moving projects that leverage their more just, sustainable models as their competitive advantage to create lasting change with Black, Brown, Indigenous, women and systems impacted communities.

Christina launched her career in politics building the unprecedented coalitions to win on the DREAM Act, Affordable Care Act and higher education access, expansion of workforce development programs, and women’s health issues. Winner of the prestigious POLLIE award at just 27 for her work at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Christina soon became one of the youngest Executive Directors in US national politics and one of the leading millennial voices on the national stage.

In 2012, she transitioned into Impact Investing as an investor and advisor working with both large, fast growing global corporates as well as promising startups across a variety of industries.  In 2015, she launched Justice Capital, an investment fund, advisory, and convening platform, which invests toward enhancing public health, safety, infrastructure and economic prosperity of Black, Brown, and systems impacted communities like those that raised her.

Christina has been featured in a multitude of outlets from The Financial Times, to Bloomberg and CNN to The Source.  She is a featured speaker and presenter at convenings and Family Office Conferences on Impact Investment around the world.  She is the Founding Chair of the NEXUS Network’s Working Group Toward Equal Justice, where she works with their global network of 6,000 young philanthropists, impact investors, and social entrepreneurs.

Christina proudly sits on the board of Inside Circle Foundation where she supports formerly incarcerated and systems impacted leaders to build local healing circles on every block in America, as well as the Ramapo Munsee Land Alliance, which rematriates the ancestral lands of the Ramapough Lenape.  In the wake of COVID, Christina has helped launch foundations to expand access to life-saving PPE in prisons, shelters, and 50+ Indigenous communities, providing millions of masks and other vital PPE to those in need.

Christina has been proudly raised by the city of Syracuse, NY and is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.A. '03).  She is a daughter, sister, auntie, godmother, and water protector.
