Joe Zawadzki is a serial founder, investor and pioneer in the digital advertising and marketing industry.

Zawadzki serves as General Partner at AperiamVentures, a specialist venture capital firm focused on advertising and marketing technology with over 50 investments including tvScientific, ID5, Kevel,, TVision Insights, Memo and Marpipe. As an angel investor, Joe seeded over 70 startups including Moat, IAS, Accordant Media, AppNexus, Beeswax, Credit Karma, Dataminr, mParticle and others with a cumulative exit value of over $10 billion.

As an entrepreneur/operator, Joe founded MediaMath in 2007, launching a technological revolution with the first demand side platform (DSP), used by 9,500 brands and agencies across 42 countries and over $100 million in annual revenue, serving as its CEO through 2021. Previously, Joe was Founder, President and Chairman of [x+1], which was acquired for $230 million, and incubated Right Media, acquired by Yahoo! for $680 million.

His early career was spent as an investment banker; as an industry champion, Joe serves on the Board of Directors for the IAB and MMA, and at the DMA until its acquisition by the ANA.

He has an A.B in English from Harvard University and a Teaching Fellow in cosmology, set theory and the history of science. He lives in New York City with his wife, Daria, and their children Dune and Jack, born on the summer and winter solstices respectively.
