Patrick D. Pilch is a Managing Director in BDO Consulting, LLC, leading the firm’s National Healthcare Advisory practice as well as BDO’s Global Healthcare Center of Excellence & Innovation. He has more than 25 years of healthcare, financial services, and operational management experience. Mr. Pilch advises nonprofit, for profit and public healthcare organizations across the continuum of care on strategic, turnaround and performance improvement pursuits and distressed situations. He conducts operational and financial assessments, develops future state models and roadmaps, and implements alignment strategies across the continuum of care to improve quality and delivery. He has served as a strategic advisor to hospitals, physician groups, boards, foundations, and healthcare systems in matters involving mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, real estate holdings, and other assets and restructurings.

Mr. Pilch also provides business transformation, performance improvement, restructuring, turnaround, interim management, M&A advisory and integration, and strategy services to assist organizations and their stakeholders experiencing business challenges to resolve financial difficulties, stabilize operations and reposition for success. He began his career providing investment banking, structured finance, financial reporting, insurance, healthcare, and bank audit services.

Mr. Pilch previously held senior leadership roles in Healthcare Advisory at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Alvarez & Marsal. He led finance and operations at a technology firm, managing its general accounting and M&A activity, and served as interim Chief Finance Officer and Chief Operating Officer at a hospital emerging from bankruptcy. He has served as Vice President of Managed Care and New Business Development at North Shore-LIJ Health System and has served in financial advisory services and finance positions while at Greenwich Capital Markets Inc., Salomon Brothers, Inc., and Peat Marwick.
